2010 Jonathan Larson Grant recipients Michael Kooman and Christopher Dimond celebrated the release of their first album of songs, Out of Our Heads, with a concert at Birdland on Monday, July 18.
Directed by Kate Pines, the concert featured performances by Allison Case, Anderson Davis, Matt Doyle, Lora Lee Gayer, Kate Hennies, Jeremy Jordan, Jose Llana, Kyle Dean Massey, Patina Miller, Julia Murney, Laura Osnes, Zak Resnick and Phoebe Strole.
The four-member band was led by Paul Staroba on piano, with Matt Hinley on guitar, Steve Gilewski on bass and Drew Simpson on percussion.
