PHOTO FLASH: Kate Mulgrew, Betty Parrish, Daryl Roth at Stella by Starlight Gala

Harry Belafonte, James Earl Jones, Daryl Roth, Ed Schultz, and Masa Tanaka were the honorees at the 7th annual Stella by Starlight Gala, held Sunday, May 20 at the Players Club.

Belafonte was honored with the Marlon Brando Award for a life committed to social activism. Jones and Tanaka received the Stella Adler Award for artistic achievement. Roth and Schultz were awarded with the Harold Clurman Spirit Award for contribution to the culture of the city of New York and beyond.

Guests at the event included co-chairs Kate Mulgrew and Debra Wasser, Cynthia Adler, Nina Capelli, Don Katz, Lesley Katz, Chloe Katz, Senator Daniel Inouye, Irene Hirano Inouye, Tom Oppenheim, Betty Parrish, Hiroka Tanaka, Greg Wasser, and Bennett Zier.
