PHOTO FLASH: Chris Noth Visits Broadway’s Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark

Stage and television star Chris Noth and his sons attended a performance of the Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, at the Foxwoods Theatre, on Saturday, May 12. Afterwards, he visited with cast member Matthew James Thomas, who plays Peter Parker/Spider-Man at select performances.

The musical is inspired by over 40 years of Marvel comic books. It follows the story of teenager Peter Parker, whose unremarkable life is turned upside-down when he’s bitten by a genetically altered spider and must learn that with great powers comes great responsibility. It features music and lyrics by Bono and The Edge, direction by Philip William McKinley, original direction by Julie Taymor, and a book co-written by Taymor, Glen Berger and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.

Noth has appeared on Broadway in That Champion Season and Gore Vidal’s The Best Man , and his Off-Broadway credits include Farragut North and What Didn’t Happen. His television work includes The Good Wife, Sex and the City and Law & Order.
