Playwrights Horizons celebrated the opening of David Greenspan’s Go Back to Where You Are, with a party at the West Bank Cafe on Tuesday, April 12.
Greenspan, who also acts in the production, was joined by director Leigh Silverman and cast members Lisa Banes, Stephen Bogardus, Tim Hopper, Brian Hutchison, Michael Izquierdo, and Mariann Mayberry.
Opening night guests included Duncan Sheik, David Henry Hwang, Annie Golden, Lois Smith, David Margulies, Zachary Booth, Deidre O’Connell, Heidi Schreck, and Lisa Kron.
In Go Back to Where You Are, Greenspan plays Passalus, an actor from the theater of Ancient Greece trapped in purgatory, who is transported by God to present day Montauk where he meets a theatrical family and rediscovers his ability to find love. The limited engagement runs through May 1.
