Ken Urban’s new comedy will receive a closed reading next month.
Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award winner Marsha Mason will direct a closed reading of Ken Urban's new play A Future Perfect. Described as a "timely, new comedy about friendship, babies, and the bittersweet taste of success," the reading will take place on March 5 at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theater.
A Future Perfect recently concluded its world premiere run at Boston's SpeakEasy Stage Company, directed by M. Bevin O'Gara. The play follows husband-and-wife pair Claire and Max, who find their values put to the test when best friends Alex and Elena announce they are having a baby.
The cast will feature Robin Tunney (The Mentalist), Michael Nathanson (The Knick), and James McMenimen (Of Mice and Men). Mason recently directed a revival of Neil Simon’s Chapter Two at the Bucks County Playhouse and is also seen on ABC’s hit comedy The Middle.
