Academy Award nominee John Hawkes (Winter's Bone) and Broadway veteran Tracie Thoms (Rent) will star in Lost Lake, a new play by Pulitzer Prize winner David Auburn at Manhattan Theatre Club's New York City Center – Stage I. The production, directed by Daniel Sullivan, will begin performances on October 21 and officially open on November 11.

Thoms leads the cast as Veronica, a young mother who rents a lakeside home as a getaway that she and her family desperately need. Hawkes stars as Hogan, the property's owner whose own problems become entangled with Veronica's life. Casting for the role of Veronica's son, Jared, and the full creative team have yet to be announced.

Auburn and Sullivan collaborated on Manhattan Theatre Club's Broadway productions of Proof and The Columnist. Hawkes, who has also been seen in the film The Sessions, makes his New York stage debut with this new play. Thoms last appeared on Broadway in Lydia R. Diamond's Stick Fly.
