Killian Donnelly will join the Broadway company of Kinky Boots at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in the role of Charlie Price beginning December 6. He succeeds Aaron C. Finley in the role.
Donnelly originated the role of Charlie in the London production of Kinky Boots and received an Olivier Award nomination. His credits also include the London productions of Memphis, The Commitments, and Billy Elliot, among others.
Inspired by the 2005 British film of the same title, Kinky Boots features a Tony-winning score by Cyndi Lauper and a book by Harvey Fierstein. The musical tells the story of Charlie Price, the owner of a failing shoe factory who realizes that a sassy drag queen named Lola has the key to the business' success.
