The historic record label Decca Broadway will relaunch this year as part of the Verve Label Group with the upcoming cast recordings of Oklahoma! and Tootsie. The albums are set for release later this spring and summer.
The 2019 revival of Oklahoma! at the Circle in the Square Theatre is directed by Daniel Fish, and features a cast led by Rebecca Naomi Jones as Laurey and Damon Daunno as Curly. Featuring new orchestrations of the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein score by Daniel Kluger, the album will be produced by Kluger and Dean Sharenow.
Tootsie, opening April 23, features a score by David Yazbeck, a book by Robert Horn, and direction by Scott Ellis. Santino Fontana leads the cast, alongside Lilli Cooper and Sarah Stiles.
Decca Broadway first launched in 1943 with the original cast album of Oklahoma! Its releases also include The Phantom of the Opera, Rent, Cats, Evita, Spring Awakening, and Wicked.
