Nina Raine’s Tribes, playing at the Barrow Street Theatre, has extended. The production, directed by David Cromer, will now play through January 6.
The play centers on a deaf man born into a hearing family who meets a young woman on the brink of deafness. The work received an Olivier Award nomination for Best Play for its London premiere, and was recently award the Drama Desk Award for Best New Play, the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Foreign Play, and the Off-Broadway Alliance Award for Best New Play
The company features Will Brill, Russell Harvard, Susan Pourfar, Jeff Still, Gayle Rankin, and Mare Winningham.
The creative team includes Scott Pask (set), Tristan Raines (costumes), Keith Parham (lighting), Daniel Kluger (sound), and Jeff Sugg (projections).
