”Desperate Measures”, ”Transfers”, and ”KPOP” are among this year’s honorees.
The winners of the 2018 Off Broadway Alliance Awards have been announced. The eighth annual awards recognized artists in six competitive categories: Best New Musical, Best New Play, Best Revival, Best Solo Performance, Best Unique Theatrical Experience, and Best Family Show.
In addition to the competitive awards, four Legend of Off Broadway Awards were presented to Jo Bonney, André De Shields, David Rabe, and Mary Testa. Theater attorney Donald Farber and playwright and actor Sam Shepard were posthumously honored with induction into the Off Broadway Hall of Fame. Carol Rosegg, who has photographed hundreds of Broadway and off-Broadway productions, was honored with the 2018 Friend of Off Broadway Award.
The Off Broadway Alliance is an organization composed of off-Broadway producers, theaters, general managers, press agents, and marketing professionals.
