A replacement for Berthe, the character who gets to sing the audience-rousing anthem “No Time at All,” will be announced in the coming weeks. During Martin’s recent vacation, four-time Tony Award nominee Tovah Feldshuh (Golda’s Balcony) took on the part.
Currently running at the Music Box Theatre, the Tony Award-winning revival of Pippin melds Stephen Schwartz and Roger O. Hirson’s classic coming-of-age musical with the death-defying tricks of a contemporary circus. Directed by Diane Paulus, choreographed by Chet Walker in the style of Bob Fosse, and featuring circus creations by Gypsy Snider of Les 7 doigts de la main, the production stars 2013 Tony winner Patina Miller, Matthew James Thomas, Terrence Mann, Charlotte d’Amboise, Rachel Bay Jones, and Erik Altemus.
