
Nick Wyman has been elected President of Actors’ Equity Association (AEA). More than 6,500 valid votes were cast in the election, which also elected an additional eighteen members to serve three, four or five year terms on the National Council, the Union’s governing body.
Wyman, an AEA member since 1974, brings more than 20 years experience as an Equity Councillor to the post. He has served on several Production Contract negotiating teams, House Affairs, National Public Policy and is the Chair of the Alien Committee. He is also a Pension and Health Fund Trustee for the last ten years.
As a performer, Wyman has appeared in The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserabled, Sly Fox and Grease on Broadway, in addition to numerous appearances Off-Broadway and at such regional theaters as The Goodman, the Arena Stage, and the Guthrie.
Among the other newly elected members are Dana Ivey, Maureen Moore, Judy Rice, Wally Dunn, Scott Evans, Kristine Nevins, Craig A. Meyer, Joe Zaloom, Nicole Flender, Jonathan Brody, Bill Bateman, Ruth E. Kramer, Greg Hirsch, Ariane Dolan, Malcolm D. Ewen, Cynthia Marty, Tom Moriarty, and John Herzog.
