Further casting for the musical has been announced.
Stage veterans Howard McGillin (The Phantom of the Opera), Corey Cott (Newsies), and Steffanie Leigh (Mary Poppins) will join the previously announced Vanessa Hudgens in the upcoming Kennedy Center production of the musical Gigi, producers have announced.
McGillin takes on the role of Honore Lachaille, with Cott as Gaston Lachaille, and Leigh as Liane d'Exelmans. The three actors played their roles in a recent reading of the musical, which features a new book by Heidi Thomas in addition to the classic score by Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe. Eric Schaeffer helms the production, with Joshua Bergasse choreographing.
The cast also features Cameron Adams, Madeleine Doherty, Hannah Florence, Jenifer Foote, Allison Jantzie, Sam Lips, Ian Paget, James Patterson, Justin Prescott, Manuel Stark, Tanairi Vazquez, and Ashley Yeater.
Featured on the creative team are Derek McLane (scenic design), Catherine Zuber (costume design), Natasha Katz (lighting design), Kai Harada (sound design), David Brian Brown (hair design), James Moore (musical director), August Eriksmoen (orchestrations), Matt Aument (vocal and incidental music arrangement), Sam Davis (dance music arrangements).
