The new play Bronx Bombers, about an important time in the history of The New York Yankees, will play Broadway next year. Previews of the play, written and directed by Eric Simonson, will begin on the Great White Way on January 10, 2014, at the Circle in the Square Theatre. An official opening is set for February 6, 2014.

Bronx Bombers completed its premiere off-Broadway on October 19 at The Duke on 42nd Street in a limited run courtesy of Primary Stages.

Joining the cast for the Broadway transfer will be Peter Scolari, last seen onstage in Nora Ephron's Lucky Guy. Scolari will take on the role of Yogi Berra. Scolari's real-life wife, Tracy Shayne, will play Carmen Berra. Shayne has been seen on Broadway in Chicago the Musical, Les Misérables, and A Chorus Line.

The Broadway cast also includes Francois Battiste, Chris Henry Coffey, Bill Dawes, Christopher Jackson, Keith Nobbs, John Wernke, and C.J. Wilson.
