The New Group will present a series of talkbacks to celebrate the U.S. premiere of Ian Bruce’s Groundswell, immediately following performances May 5-13.
Orin Wolf will moderate the talkbacks, which will feature the playwright alongside cast members Larry Bryggman, David Lansbury, and Souleymane Sy Savane.
The production, directed by Scott Elliott, is currently in previews at Theater Row, with an opening set for May 18. The play is set in South Africa, and involves the power struggle between two men running a beachfront guest lodge, and a retired businessman who they think can finance their scheme to buy into a government-run mining concession.
