Fresh on (and out of) the heels of Broadway's Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Tony winner Neil Patrick Harris hosted the 2015 Oscars telecast on February 22. But following mixed reviews of the event, Harris told The Huffington Post that he might not want to take on the film industry's hosting gig again.

"I don’t know that my family nor my soul could take it," the father of twins (and husband of Broadway performer David Burtka) told the outlet.

A seasoned awards show host, Harris has also hosted the Tonys and the Emmys in past years and has won multiple Emmys for his awards-show broadcasts.

Craig Zadan and Neil Meron produced this year's Oscar broadcast for the third time, working with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences and the network ABC. The 87th Oscars ceremony is broadcast on ABC and in 225 countries.

In addition to his Tony-winning role in Hedwig, Neil Patrick Harris has appeared on Broadway in Cabaret, Proof, and Assassins. He is perhaps best known for his nine-season run in the series How I Met Your Mother, and he is also the author of the new memoir Neil Patrick Harris: Choose Your Own Autobiography.
