Neil LaBute to Write and Direct Burnt Orange Heresy Film

Playwright and filmmaker Neil LaBute will write and direct a film adaptation of Charles Wilford’s thriller The Burnt Orange Heresy, according to Variety.

LaBute’s previous films include In the Company of Men, Your Friends and Neighbors, Nurse Betty, Possession, and Lakeview Terrace. He recently directed a remake of Death at a Funeral, starring Chris Rock, which is set for release in 2010.

LaBute’s many plays including Reasons to Be Pretty, Wrecks, Fat Pig, The Shape of Things, and Some Girl(s).
