NYC’s uptown theater district will welcome a new hit when Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812, which played in its custom venue, Kazino, in the meatpacking district all summer, blazes onto West 54th Street. Kazino will relocate to its new Times Square-adjacent location for a 14-week limited run beginning September 24.
The production’s current cast includes David Abeles, Brittain Ashford, Gelsey Bell, Catherine Brookman, Nick Choksi, Ken Clark, Ashkon Davaran, Blake DeLong, Amber Gray, Luke Holloway, Dave Malloy, Grace McLean, Azudi Onyejekwe, Paul Pinto, Phillipa Soo, Lucas Steele, Shaina Taub, Mariand Torres, and Lauren Zakrin. The show played its final performance at Kazino’s Meatpacking location on September 2.
Ghostlight Records will release the original cast recording of Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812, the company has announced. A release date for the album, which was recorded on August 26, has not yet been announced.
