Michele Pawk to Return to Her Tony-Winning Role in Carol Burnett Bio-Play Hollywood Arms

Michele Pawk will re-create her Tony-winning performance in Carol Burnett and Carrie Hamilton's Hollywood Arms as part of a one-night-only concert reading of the drama on September 21 at Merkin Concert Hall. The evening is presented by Sundance Institute in collaboration with Kaufman Music Center.
Based on Burnett’s bestselling memoir One More Time, Hollywood Arms tells the story of three generations of fiercely determined women living on welfare in a one-room Hollywood apartment. The original production, at Broadway's Cort Theatre, ran 28 previews and 76 performances from October 7, 2002-January 5, 2003.
Pawk will re-create her performance as Louise, with Tony winner Tyne Daly (It Shoulda Been You) and Tony nominee Emily Skeggs (Fun Home) taking on the roles of presumably, Nanny and Helen. Further casting will be announced for the production, which is to be directed by Mark Brokaw.
Hollywood Arms, based on Burnett's personal family experience, was developed at the Sundance Theatre Lab in 1998.
