Cats premiered on Broadway in 1982, running for an astounding 18 years, playing a total of 7,485 performances, and winning seven Tony Awards. Based on T.S. Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, the show features some of the most beloved songs in musical theater including “Macavity,” “The Rum Tum Tugger,” and the modern standard “Memory.”
The iconic musical began performances at North Shore Music Theatre on August 20 and will run through September 1.
