Broadway veteran Megan McGinnis (Side Show) will star in the New York premiere of the musical Daddy Long Legs, to be directed by Tony Award winner John Caird (Les Misérables) at the Davenport Theatre. Performances begin September 10, with opening night set for September 27. The limited engagement is currently scheduled to conclude on January 10, 2016.

With a book by Caird and a score by Tony nominee Paul Gordon (Jane Eyre), Daddy Long Legs is inspired by the 1912 Jean Webster novel, which tells the story of Jerusha Abbott (McGinnis), an orphan who gets a college education from an anonymous benefactor whom she nicknames Daddy Long Legs.

Daddy Long Legs premiered at the Rubicon Theatre Company in Los Angeles in 2009 and received Ovation Awards for Best Music and Lyrics and McGinnis' performance. She also received an Indy Award and an Acclaim Award for her work in the show in productions across the United States.

Full casting for the New York run will be announced in the coming months. The production features scenic and costume design by David Farley, with lighting design by Paul Toben. Ken Davenport and Michael Jackowitz produce the engagement.
