Stage and television star Megan Hilty has been signed to a record deal with the Sony Masterworks label, according to The Hollywood Reporter. No date has been set for her debut album.
She currently stars as Ivy Lynn on NBC’s musical drama Smash. Hilty’s stage credits include 9 to 5 and Wicked, and she will appear later this year in the City Center Encores! production of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.
Sony Masterworks is part of Columbia Records, and releases cast recordings, classical music, and solo albums by such performers as Kristin Chenoweth.
