The new play will have its New York debut at Playwrights Horizons.
The stars of the Playwrights Horizons production of Taylor Mac's Hir met the press on September 22. Directed by Niegel Smith, the new play runs October 16-November 29.
Hir is described as a "subversive comedy" that follows Isaac, who has returned from the wars to help take care of his ailing father, only to discover a household in revolt. The cast will feature Kristine Nielsen (You Can’t Take It With You), Daniel Oreskes (The Revisionist), Tom Phelan (The Fosters), and Cameron Scoggins (Pocatello).
