Meet Lupita Nyong'o and the Stars of Broadway's Eclipsed

The cast and creative team of Danai Gurira's new Broadway drama Eclipsed met the press at the John Golden Theatre on February 11. Directed by Liesl Tommy, the production begins performances on February 23, with opening night set for March 6.

Eclipsed is a look at the Liberian Civil War from the perspective of women held captive by a Liberian rebel officer. With the arrival of a new woman who can read, and the return of an old one who can kill, their possibilities are quickly transformed. The company is led by Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o, who performs alongside Pascale Armand, Akosua Busia, Zainab Jah, and Saycon Sengbloh. Meet the stars in the gallery below.

Eclipsed played a sold-out run at Public Theater in 2015, as well as a run at Yale Repertory Theatre in 2009.
