Meat Loaf Musical Bat Out of Hell Postpones North American Tour

The show, a hit in London’s West End, had previously announced an eight-week run at New York City Center next summer.

Just days after announcing an eight-week run at New York City Center next summer, the North American tour of the Meat Loaf musical Bat Out of Hell will now close after its final performance at Toronto's Ed Mirvish Theatre tomorrow evening, November 3.

According to a spokesperson for the production, "The show is being postponed and everyone involved is working on rescheduling."

Bat Out of Hell — the second studio album by American rock singer Meat Loaf and his first collaboration with composer Jim Steinman — became one of the best-selling albums of all time after its release in 1977. Now it's been adapted as a stage musical that's a romantic adventure about rebellious youth and passionate love, set against the backdrop of a post-cataclysmic city adrift from the mainland. Strat, the forever-young leader of the Lost, has fallen for Raven, daughter of Falco, the tyrannical ruler of Obsidian.
