Mean Girls to Celebrate Vinyl Album Release With Exclusive Fan Signing Event

Urban Outfitters will host members of the cast and creative team, along with 200 fans.

The Mean Girls original Broadway cast album, recorded by Atlantic Records, will be released on vinyl this Friday, August 24. The production will celebrate the release on Tuesday, August 28, with an exclusive fan signing event at Urban Outfitters's flagship Herald Square store location where members of the Mean Girls Broadway cast and creative team will be on hand to sign albums from 2pm-4:30pm.

Beginning Friday, August 24, at 10am, fans can purchase a copy of the Mean Girls original Broadway cast recording vinyl from Urban Outfitters Herald Square. The first 200 guests to make a purchase will be given a wristband with purchase that makes them eligible for the vinyl signing. The event is limited to the first 200 guests and is only eligible with the purchase of the vinyl album from UO Herald Square.

Mean Girls opened April 8 at the August Wilson Theatre, earning 12 Tony nominations. The production features a book by nine-time Emmy Award winner Tina Fey based on her screenplay for the film, music by three-time Emmy Award winner Jeff Richmond, and lyrics by two-time Tony Award nominee Nell Benjamin. Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw directs and choreographs.

The cast is led by Erika Henningsen as Cady Heron; Taylor Louderman as Regina George; Ashley Park as Gretchen Wieners; Kate Rockwell as Karen Smith; Barrett Wilbert Weed as Janis Sarkisian; Grey Henson as Damian Hubbard; Kerry Butler as Mrs. Heron, Ms. Norbury, and Mrs. George; Kyle Selig as Aaron Samuels; Cheech Manohar as Kevin Gnapoor; and Rick Younger as Mr. Duvall.

Tony nominee Jennifer Simard joins the company as Mrs. Heron, Ms. Norbury, and Mrs. George starting Tuesday, September 11.
