Marisa Tomei to Host Oscar Ceremony for Scientific and Technical Awards

Academy Award winner and stage veteran Marisa Tomei will host the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Scientific and Technical Awards, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The ceremony will be held on February 12, and Tomei will present 11 awards to 23 individual recipients.

Tomei has starred on Broadway in Salome and Wait Until Dark. Her stage credits also include We Won’t Pay! We Won’t Pay!, Waiting for Lefty, Rocket to the Moon, Design for Living, and Oh The Humanity and Other Good Intentions. She received the Academy Award for her work in My Cousin Vinny.

As previously reported, she will also be among the presenters at the Oscars ceremony on February 27.
