Tony nominee Marin Ireland will receive the 2010 Hartt Alumni Award, presented by The Hartt School of the University of Hartford in Connecticut. She will receive the honor during Commencement ceremonies on Sunday, May 16.
Ireland graduated with her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The Hartt School in 2000. She was Tony-nominated for her work in reasons to be pretty, and appeared earlier this season in After Miss Julie on Broadway and A Lie of the Mind Off-Broadway. Her many other theater credits include Blasted, The Beebo Brinker Chronicles, The Ruby Sunrise, The Harlequin Studies, Manuscript, and Where We’re Born.
