Make Way for Disney's Live-Action Aladdin

Walt Disney Studios has released the first trailer from its upcoming live-action remake of the animated classic Aladdin, hitting cinemas on May 24, 2019. Watch the trailer below.

Directed by Guy Ritchie, Aladdin is written by John August, with songs from the original by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, and Tim Rice, as well as two new songs by Menken, Benj Pasek, and Justin Paul. Alan Stewart serves as director of photography, with Gemma Jackson providing production design and Michael Wilkinson providing costume design.

The company of Aladdin is led by Will Smith as the Genie, alongside Mena Massoud in the title role, Naomi Scott as Jasmine, Marwan Kenzari as Jafar, Navid Negahban as the Sultan, Nasim Pedrad as Dalia, Billy Magnussen as Prince Anders, and Numan Acar as Hakim.
