DreamWorks Theatricals is teaming up with Broadway Across America for Madagascar Live, a live family touring show based on its Madagascar film series. The production will be directed by Gip Hoppe, and feature a book by Kevin Del Aguila.
The tour, which is expected to visit more than 70 cities across the United States, will play New York’s Radio City Music Hall, April 15-24.
The stage show will feature the main characters from the movie series, about a group of animals that escape from the Central Park Zoo and wind up stranded in far-off Madagascar.
The creative team will include set designer David Gallo and costume designer Gregg Barnes.
