Liza Minnelli has canceled her previously reported appearance on TV Land’s Hot in Cleveland, according to TVGuide.com, which notes that her doctor has advised her to stay off of her ankle following an injury.

The actress was to have played the role of Jacki, agent to actress Victoria Chase (played by Wendie Malick). The episode will still be shot, and a replacement for Minnelli is currently being sought.

Minnelli’s most recent Broadway show, Liza’s at the Palace, won a 2009 Tony for Best Special Theatrical Event, and the artist has also won Tony Awards for Best Actress in a Musical for Flora the Red Menace and The Act. She won the Academy Award for Cabaret and the Emmy Award for Liza With a “Z”.

Hot in Cleveland also stars Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, and Betty White.
