Warriors, a new musical by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Eisa Davis, will open on Broadway in April 2027 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre after beginning previews in March. The musical is based on the Paramount Pictures film The Warriors, the novel by Sol Yurick, and the concept album Miranda and Davis released in 2024.
Directed by Jenny Koons and codirected and choreographed by Andy Blankenbuehler, Warriors follows a New York City gang from Coney Island to the Bronx and back when they’re framed for the murder of a respected gang leader.
The production will have scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Dede Ayite, lighting design by Natasha Katz, sound design by Jason Crystal, projection design by Hana S. Kim, music supervision by Kurt Crowley, and orchestrations by Crowley, Scott Wasserman, and Mike Elizondo.
The concept album featured vocals by legendary artists like Nas, Busta Rhymes, Marc Anthony, and Ghostface Killah, alongside Broadway stars including Phillipa Soo, Amber Gray, and Julia Harriman. Casting for the Broadway run will be released at a later date.
