Luke James Joins the Cast of the Upcoming Broadway Musical Wanted

Grammy Award-nominated R&B singer and songwriter and The Chi actor Luke James will star as Elijah in the new Broadway musical Wanted. Wanted starts performance at the James Earl Jones Theatre on October 15, with an opening night set for November 8.

James joins previously announced cast members Solea Pfeiffer as Mary Clarke, Liisi LaFontaine as Martha Clarke, and 16-time Grammy Award nominee Ledisi as Tallulah Clarke.

Based on the true story of Mary and Martha Clarke, Wanted is written by Angelica Chéri (book and lyrics), a descendant of the Clarke sisters, and Richard Rodgers Award winner Ross Baum (music). In Texas, 1893, twin sisters Mary and Martha Clarke, Black women who pass for white and hide in plain sight, are on the run.

The production is directed by Tony Award nominee and Obie Award winner Stevie Walker-Webb, with choreography by Chelsey Arce. Additional creative team and cast members will be announced at a later date.
