Laura Osnes, Norbert Leo Butz Join Fosse/Verdon, From Producer Lin-Manuel Miranda

Further casting has been revealed for the upcoming FX limited series Fosse/Verdon, produced by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Thomas Kail, Steven Levenson, and George Stelzner.

As previously announced, the series is inspired by Sam Wasson's biography Fosse, and stars Sam Rockwell as Bob Fosse and Michelle Williams as Gwen Verdon. They will be joined by two-time Tony winner Norbert Leo Butz as Paddy Chayefsky, with Margaret Qually as Ann Reinking.

According to Variety, the series will also feature Aya Cash as Joan Simon, Nate Corddry as Neil Simon, Susan Misner as Joan McCracken, Bianca Marroquin as Chita Rivera, Kelli Barrett as Liza Minnelli, Evan Handler as Hal Prince, Rick Holmes as Fred Weaver, Paul Reiser as Cy Feuer, Ethan Slater as Joel Grey, Byron Jennings as George Abbott, and Laura Osnes as Shirley MacLaine.

Levenson, who will serve as showrunner, wrote the premiere episode which will be directed by Kail. Nicole Fosse, daughter of Fosse and Verdon, serves as co-executive producer, with coproducer Andy Blankenbuehler serving as choreographer.

It is expected to premiere in 2019.
