Laura Linney will both star in and executive produce The C Word, a new dark comedy series for Showtime, according to a report in Variety.
Linney will play a woman who has been diagnosed with cancer. The program is created and written by Darlene Hunt, with production slated to begin this fall.
This season, Linney will also be appearing in Time Stands Still on Broadway. Linney will also be seen in movie theaters starting September 11 when The Other Man, which co-stars Liam Neeson, is released.
