It has just been announced that the Broadway productions of La Bohème and Flower Drum Song will not perform this evening due to the threat of a strike by the musicians’ union, Local 802.
Both shows will resume performances following the resolution of the strike action. Ticket holders should exchange their tickets for a later performance or apply for a refund at the point of purchase.
La Bohème, the Giacomo Puccini opera directed by Baz Luhrmann, opened in December at the Broadway Theater. Flower Drum Song, a heavily revised version of the 1958 Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II musical, is playing at the Virginia Theatre through March 16.
