Krystina Alabado to Join Cast of Mean Girls

Broadway's Mean Girls has announced that Krystina Alabado (American Psycho, American Idiot) will join the cast in the role of Gretchen Wieners beginning Tuesday, March 12. Tony Award nominee Ashley Park will play her final performance in the role on Sunday, March 10.

Now running at the August Wilson Theatre, Mean Girls features a book by nine-time Emmy Award winner Tina Fey, based on her screenplay for the film; music by three-time Emmy Award winner Jeff Richmond; and lyrics by two-time Tony Award nominee Nell Benjamin. Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw directs and choreographs.

The cast currently stars Erika Henningsen as Cady Heron; Taylor Louderman as Regina George; Ashley Park as Gretchen Wieners; Kate Rockwell as Karen Smith; Grey Henson as Damian Hubbard; Barrett Wilbert Weed as Janis Sarkisian; Kyle Selig as Aaron Samuels; Jennifer Simard as Mrs. Heron, Ms. Norbury, and Mrs. George; Cheech Manohar as Kevin Gnapoor; and Rick Younger as Mr. Duvall.
