Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon will be honored with the Film Ensemble of the Year Award for their work in Sex and the City at ShowWest on March 18, according to published reports.
The quartet have played Carrie (Parker), Samantha (Cattrall), Miranda (Nixon) and Charlotte (David) since the popular series debuted on HBO in 1998. The second film featuring the characters will be released on May 28.
Parker began her acting career as a child, has been seen on Broadway in the title role of Annie, and in the revivals of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (opposite her husband Matthew Broderick) and Once Upon a Mattress. Cattrall is currently starring in a revival of Noel Coward’s Private Lives in the West End. Cynthia Nixon also began her career has a young person, concurrently appearing in Hurlyburly and The Real Thing on Broadway. Her other credits include a Tony-winning turn in Rabbit Hole, as well as The Women and indiscretions.
