Playwright Carson Kreitzer will read selections from her new play collection, SELF DEFENSE and other plays, at a book launch party & salon to be held at New Dramatists on Thursday, November 3 from 4pm to 6:30pm.
Published by NoPassport Press as part of its “Theatre & Performance Play Texts” series, the collection includes Self Defense, The Love Song of J. Robert Oppenheimer, 1:23, and Slither.
The event will also celebrate playwright Chiori Miyagawa’s upcoming collection America Dreaming and other plays, as well as the ongoing work of NoPassport. In addition to Kreitzer’s reading, there will be short readings by NoPassport Press authors Susana Cook, Kia Corthron, Migdalia Cruz, Christine Evans, Linda Faigo-Hall, Catherine Filloux, David Greenspan, Matthew Maguire, Chiori Miyagawa, Saviana Stanescu, and Caridad Svich.
The event will be moderated by Randy Gener, a series editor of NoPassport Press.
