Oscar and Tony Award winner Kevin Kline will play screen legend Errol Flynn in the new film The Last of Robin Hood, according to Variety.
Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland will direct the film from their own original screenplay, which focuses on Flynn’s relationship with 17-year-old actress Beverly Aadland. Oscar winner and Broadway star Susan Sarandon will play Aadland’s mother. The role of Beverly has not been cast.
Kline has won Tony Awards for The Pirates of Penzance and On the Twentieth Century. His many other stage credits include Mother Courage and Her Children, Henry IV, King Lear, and The Seagull. He won the Oscar for A Fish Called Wanda.
Sarandon starred on Broadway in Exit the King. She won the Oscar for Dead Man Walking and received nominations for Atlantic City, Thelma & Louise, Lorenzo’s Oil, and The Client.
