The Paley Center for Media in New York will host a special event with Tony Award winner and Academy Award winner Christopher Plummer on Tuesday, May 29 at 6pm. Film critic David Edelstein will moderate the event.
The Center will also offer public tapings of its upcoming WNET series At the Paley Center led by President/CEO Pat Mitchell and featuring some of the world’s top female newscasters. Guests include Katie Couric (May 17, 1pm), Gayle King (May 22, 6:30pm), Maria Bartiromo (May 23, 6:30pm), Paula Zahn (June 20, 1pm), and Soledad O’Brien (July 19, 1pm).
In addition, the Paley Center’s upcoming events also include the New York premiere of American Masters: Johnny Carson: King of Late Night (May 10, 6pm); a screening of NBC Opera Theatre 1955 telecast of Madame Butterfly, including a conversation with star Elaine Malbin, moderated by Eric Myers (May 19, 2pm).
