The film, based on the DC Comics character, hits screens in December.
Julie Andrews has lent her voice to a role in the new superhero movie Aquaman, according to Entertainment Weekly.
In Aquaman, the Oscar winner will voice the role of Karathen, a mythical sea creature who holds the key to uniting the surface world and Atlantis. Andrews's many film credits include Mary Poppins, for which she won an Academy Award, The Sound of Music, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Victor/Victoria, The Princess Diaries, and many others.
Based on the DC Comics character, Aquaman hits theaters December 21. It comes just days after the December 19 release of Mary Poppins Returns, in which Andrews does not appear, so as not to distract from Emily Blunt's take on the iconic character.
