
Judy Blazer, Chuck Cooper, Jeff McCarthy and Debra Monk are set to perform in the 92 Street Y‘s Poisoning Pigeons in the Park: The Art of the Satiric Comedy Song, to be offered May 8-10. Sheldon Harnick, as previously announced, will host the concert which is part of the Lyrics and Lyricistsseries and will directed and written by David Garrison and feature musical direction by Rob Fisher.
The show will include Tom Lehre’s “When You’re Old and Gray” and “The Old Dope Peddler,” Randy Newman’s “Political Science” and Eric Idol and John Dupres’ “The Song That Goes Like This” (from Spamalot). There will also be selections from Ira Gershwin, Fred Ebb, Lorenz Hart, Noel Coward, Stephen Sondheim, and W.S. Gilbert.
