Joy Woods will return to the off-Broadway revival of Little Shop of Horrors at the Westside Theatre on May 2, this time in the role of Audrey. Woods made her off-Broadway debut in 2019 in the role of Chiffon, and has since appeared on Broadway as Catherine Parr in Six.

She will star alongside the previously announced Matt Doyle as Seymour, and Drew Gehling as Dr. Orin Scrivello D.D.S. Woods replaces Maude Apatow, who stepped into the role of Audrey on February 7 and will play her final performance April 30.

The Faustian tale of an assistant florist who comes under the sway of a bloodthirsty plant, Little Shop of Horrors features a book and lyrics by Grammy and Academy Award winner Howard Ashman, and music by Tony and Academy Award winner Alan Menken. The Westside Theatre mounting returns the beloved musical to its roots, having premiered off-Broadway in 1982 before being revived on Broadway in 2003 and at New York City Center in 2015. Tony winner Michael Mayer directs.

Completing the cast are Camryn Hampton, Weston Chandler Long, Chelsea Turbin, Teddy Yudain, Zakiya Baptiste, Jonothon Lyons, Noel MacNeal, Kevin Pariseau, Jeff Sears, Evan Alexander Smith, and Melissa Victor.
