Josh Cooke, Dan Donohue, Pamela Dunlap, Marc Halsey, Jon Hamm, Reid Scott, Tessa Thompson, Jennifer Westfeldt, and Sarah Zimmerman will be featured in L.A. Theatre Works’ performance of Anton Chekhov’s The Three Sisters, at the Skirball Cultural Center, April 13-17. Jenny Sullivan will direct.
The play is a wistful romance of missed chances and wasted opportunities. The Prozorov sisters, carrying the torch for enlightened society in a provincial backwater town, entertain a visiting army garrison, all the while losing their hearts to the dashing soldiers, their quixotic ideals, and a world of what-might- have-been.
All performances will be recorded to air on L.A. Theatre Works’ syndicated radio theater series, which broadcasts weekly on public radio stations nationwide.
