John Leguizamo‘s new solo play Ghetto Klown, which opens at Broadway’s Lyceum Theatre on March 22, has announed an extension through July 10. Fisher Stevens has directed the production.

In the work, Leguizamo takes audiences from his adolescent memories in Queens to the early days of his acting career during the outrageous 1980s avant-garde theater scene, and on to the sets of major motion pictures and his roles opposite some of Hollywood’s biggest stars.

The work has had earlier incarnations in Philadelphia, New Haven, Santa Fe, Louisville, La Jolla, Berkeley, Toronto, Montreal, and Chicago.

Leguizamo’s previous shows include Mambo Mouth, Spic-O-Rama, Freak, and Sexaholix… A Love Story. His many other stage credits include A Midsummer Night’s Dream and La Puta Vida.
