The new musical by Kait Kerrigan, Anne Eisendrath, and Ian Eisendrath is making its New York debut with Roundabout Theatre Company.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the complete cast of its upcoming off-Broadway musical The Heart, which is set to begin preview performances at the Laura Pels Theatre October 8 ahead of an official opening night October 29. Performances are scheduled through December 6.
With a score by Anne Eisendrath (aka electronic music artist Anniee) and Ian Eisendrath (KPop Demon Hunters) and a book and additional lyrics by Kait Kerrigan (The Great Gatsby), The Heart is about a heart transplant. It is based on Maylis de Kerangal’s 2014 novel Réparer les vivants.
It stars Heidi Blickenstaff (Jagged Little Pill) as Claire, Lincoln Clauss (Bat Out of Hell) as Thomas Driscoll, Nick T. Daly (MJ: The Musical) as Simon Lamar, Drew Gehling (& Juliet) as Dr. Breva, Bre Jackson (The Book of Mormon) as Cordelia Owl, Tony Award-winner Joaquina Kalukango (Paradise Square) as Marianne Lamar, Max McKenna (Cabaret) as Juliette Brooks, Wren Rivera (Teeth) as Marthe, and Jason Tam (Be More Chill) as Sean Lamar. Daniel Brackett, Gareth Keegan, Q. Smith and Emily Somé round out the cast as the understudies.
Tony Award-winner Christopher Ashley (Come From Away) directs the production, with choreography by Mandy Moore (Taylor Swift’s Eras tour). Wendy Bobbitt Cavett (Come From Away) is the music director.
The production will feature scenic design by Robert Brill (Hell’s Kitchen), costume design by Sarafina Bush (The Outsiders), lighting design by Amanda Zieve (Proof), sound design by Gareth Owen (BOOP! The Musical), video design by Lucy Mackinnon (All Out: Comedy About Ambition), and hair and wig design by Alberto “Albee” Alvarado (The Rocky Horror Show). Music production is by Juan Ariza and Elin Sandberg.
