Jim True-Frost will direct The American Repertory Theatre/Moscow Art Theatre School Institute for Advanced Theatre Training at Harvard University’s production of Vasily Sigarev’s Ladybird, to play the Zero Arrow Theatre, March 13-21.
In the play, Dima throws himself a small going away party the night before leaving his home to fight in Chechnya, but the night takes a dark turn when a junkie tries to pawn Dima’s most precious possession.
True-Frost has directed The Mesmerist and Ghost in the Machine for Steppenwolf Theatre. He is better known as an actor, having appeared in the Broadway production of August: Osage County and starred on TV’s The Wire. He is a member of the Steppenwolf ensemble and won a Joseph Jefferson Award for his performance in Killers.
