Some of New York’s finest actors will perform scenes from George Bernard Shaw’s legendary works.
Gingold Theatrical Group's Project Shaw, now in its 12th year, will present Super Shaw Women, a concert presentation of scenes and monologues from some of George Bernard Shaw’s greatest works. Directed by David Staller, the one-night-only performance will be held at Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre on Monday, July 17, at 7pm.
The evening will feature performances by Blair Brown, Julie Halston, Jayne Houdyshell, Mia Katigbak, Charlotte Moore, Daphne Rubin-Vega, and additional actors to be announced soon. The all-female cast will deliver excerpts from Candida, Man And Superman, Mrs. Warren's Profession, Pygmalion, Back to Methuselah, The Apple Cart, Misalliance, Heartbreak House, and more.
The event will be part of Project Shaw's Women Take the Stage:
Celebrating 100 Years of Women’s Rights in NY. The night is described as follows: "A brilliant cast of actresses will play every one of your beloved Shaw women in less than two hours that are sure to be wild, wacky, and completely inappropriate!"
