The Hunter Theater Project at Hunter College has announced another extension of the New York premiere of director Richard Nelson's new production of Uncle Vanya. It will now run through Sunday, November 18.

Nelson's production features a new translation developed with renowned Russian literature translators Richard Pevear and Larissa Volokhonsky. Uncle Vanya premiered at San Diego's Old Globe earlier this year, and inaugurates the Hunter Theater Project, a new venture connecting professional theater productions with Hunter College's students and faculty.

Jay O. Sanders plays the title role, with Celeste Arias (Eléna), Jon DeVries (Alexánder Serebryakóv), Kate Kearney-Patch (Marína), Alice Cannon (Márya), Jesse Pennington (Mikhaíl Ástrov), and Yvonne Woods (Sónya Alexándrovna).

The creative team includes Jason Ardizzone-West (scenic design), Susan Hilferty and Mark Koss (costume design), Jennifer Tipton (lighting), and Will Pickens (sound design).
